Romance of Men brand Shinogi Zukuri Katana from their custom builder. A Tokugawa themed, T10 clay tempered blade features choji hamon and "aesthetic" polish. This sword is a bit of an odd duck. It does not have a yokote which I believe to be an oversight. The saya does not have a traditional koiguchi. The full samegawa wrapped tsuka,has non-standard ito with hishigami. While it is one of the tightest you will ever feel, it will not win any beauty awards. Alloy tsuba and fuchi/kashira menuki. Probably a strong cutter although it was never used for cutting. Unfortunately when they saya was made, the wood was still moist and there is some surface staining that needs to be removed on the kissaki (photographed). If put in some decent mounts and stain cleaned, this could be a nice piece.
