Imported from Japan this Iaito features a beefy profile and a weight more similar to shinken. There is no real taper from the motokasane to sakikasane. the Tsuba is of an alloy type and the habaki is brass. This Iaito has seen a lot of training hours and judging by the rough ishime finish 9by rough we mean coarse) the saya has been replaced. That being said the fit is solid and the koiguchi is in great shape. The cotton ito does have some movement although not excessive. A lacaquer treatment would tighten it right up. The tsuka core construction is similar to some models offered by tozando and is shimmed similarly-but we cannot guarantee that.
